Reuters: Mohamed Omran, head of the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority, said on Tuesday that securitization bond issues amounted to 22 billion pounds last year, compared to 5.2 billion pounds in 2018.
Omran added in a press conference in Cairo that the total investments of the insurance sector amounted to 102 billion pounds last year, compared to 99 billion pounds in the previous year.
Securitization bonds are bonds that are negotiable within the limits of the financial rights and deferred payment entitlements to the guarantees and are issued through one of the securitization companies licensed by the Authority.
